New kit enhances our Site Investigation package

The Consultancy has taken delivery of a brand new Dynamic Cone Penetrometer. As part of our site investigation ‘Full Service’, we offer CBR testing, percolation testing, ground bearing calculations and preliminary foundation design in a complete package. These works can be carried out alongside contamination and mining site investigations, giving our clients the opportunity to build a complete picture of the ground conditions early in the project cycle. A geotechnical investigation including preliminary foundation design is a requirement of the NHBC warranty.

RICS Domestic Energy Assessors Register

Please note that in order for an EPC to be valid, it must be lodged on the Department of Communities and Local Government’s central databank.

Wheal Jane welcomes BBC Spotlight

Neil Gallagher, BBC Spotlight’s business correspondent and his team visited Wheal Jane on the 10th anniversary of the end of commercial mining in Cornwall, and were able to see first-hand how, 10 years on the site has developed into a hub of mining and minerals expertise with over 150 people employed by the companies working here.

We were happy to have 25 local businessmen and women join us for an informative tour and presentation at Wheal Jane. The tour provided an insight into the work of the Wheal Jane Group and the wide range of services that we offer covering land, property, contamination, environment , mineral assay, tin working and many others.

The visit also provided a glimpse of the huge restoration project taking place on the 150 acre site which is running in parallel with the development of the former mine works area of the site as a centre of mining and minerals expertise, with 8 companies marketing their knowledge, experience and products worldwide.

Our analytical laboratory alone has received work from over 40 countries across the globe during the past 12 months. Once more, Cornish knowledge and expertise is in demand in the global marketplace.
